Kaduna Airstrike: Bauchi Cleric Messages Tinubu Tells Him What To Do

In the aftermath of the recent bombing during a Maulud celebration in Tudun Biri, Kaduna State, which claimed over 85 lives, the renowned Islamic scholar, Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has passionately appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for swift action.

The Nigerian Army labeled the airstrikes as accidental, targeting bandits. However, Bauchi stressed the imperative need for a thorough investigation to ascertain the truth behind the incident. Expressing condolences to the affected families and the Muslim community, he questioned the rationale behind the targeting of innocent Muslims uninvolved in any conflict.

“We want the government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene and ensure justice for those who lost their lives in the Maulud attack, along with prosecuting the individuals responsible,” Bauchi emphasized.

He underlined the urgency of proactive government measures to address ongoing challenges, safeguard the security of Nigerians, and respect fundamental rights, including religious freedom. Bauchi lamented the apparent indifference of those in authority towards the plight of the oppressed, stressing that a serious investigation is crucial to reveal the truth and motives behind the tragedy.

“In the past, some Muslims were killed on their way back home after attending a religious event, and they were attacked in Jos and other places. This is unacceptable,” Bauchi declared, urging authorities not to trivialize the concerns and grievances of the people.
