Just In: Jonathan visits Tinubu at Presidential Villa

The ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, is currently having a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Remember that the Supreme Court confirmed President Tinubu’s election and rejected the appeals made by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP.

The Supreme Court agreed with the decision made by the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, on September 6. They agreed on all counts.

The group of seven judges in the highest court, led by Justice Inyang Okoro, made a decision that all of them agreed on. They resolved seven different questions in favor of Tinubu.

‘Time to move Nigeria forward’

After meeting with President Tinubu, Jonathan spoke to reporters and said that the elections were finished and it was now important to progress as a country.

He asked all political leaders to work together to make progress for the country.

We need to make progress as a nation. The elections have ended, so now we need to keep moving ahead. Professor Lumumba stressed the importance of Nigeria being a leader in Africa during one of our programs.

Currently, we are facing economic challenges. However, we still possess the necessary qualities to be leaders.

I will keep discussing these topics with the President, including updating him on my international programs, because they are not personal matters.

Usually, when a past President travels to other countries for events or activities within a specific continent or region, and sometimes even for national events, they are expected to inform the current President upon their return. So that’s the custom.

Whenever you see me, it’s usually because I’m working on tasks that will help progress Nigeria, ECOWAS, and the African continent.

We should gather all of our political leaders, including the former presidents, to come together.
