Impeachment Plot In Rivers: Anarchy Looms, Warns South-South Leader

Anabs Sara-Igbe, the National Coordinator of the South-South Leadership Forum, expressed apprehensions in an interview with Channels Television regarding the defection of 27 members of the Rivers House of Assembly to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Sara-Igbe suggests that the move might be a strategic maneuver to pursue an impeachment process, a course of action that he believes could lead to anarchy or chaos in Rivers State.

Speaking on the importance of prioritizing the state’s development over internal political maneuvers, Sara-Igbe underscored the economic significance of Rivers State within Nigeria, emphasizing crucial economic facilities present in the region. He urged the involved members to comprehend the complexities of the state’s dynamics and carefully consider the potential consequences of their actions.

Sara-Igbe stated, “If they move ahead with this their impeachment plot, it means they’re looking for anarchy or chaos in the state.”
