In an explosive interview on Arise TV, Alwan Hassan—convener of the North-South Progressives Alliance and prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)—has revealed that certain senior government officials, unappointed by President Bola Tinubu, are actively undermining his administration’s efforts to address Nigeria’s economic woes.
Hassan claimed that these individuals, including agency heads, had publicly aligned themselves with Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate during the previous election cycle.
He further asserted that many of them had contributed financially to oppositional campaigns, despite being entrusted with key roles within the federal government.
“Sadly,” Hassan stated, “President Tinubu has allowed those who opposed him into positions where they can cause harm.”
