Bishop Isaac Idahosa was born into a family of six children, where he is the third child. He hails from Edo state, South-South Nigeria. He is married to Christie Idahosa, and together they have two children, Christabell and Osagie. Bishop Idahosa is not only a preacher but also a gospel musician with three albums to his credit. He is known as the “Prophet Talk Na Do” and has gained popularity as a Nigerian televangelist.

Early Life And Education

Isaac Idahosa was born and raised in Minna, Niger State, in the predominantly Muslim north of Nigeria. He received his formal education in Minna and obtained a scholarship to pursue his university education in Niger State. Despite his qualifications as a Mechanical Engineer, he felt a calling from God to pioneer a work for Him, leading him to seek further guidance through fasting and prayer.

The Story Behind Illumination Assembly

Bishop Idahosa’s journey of establishing Illumination Assembly is a testament to his unwavering faith and God’s guidance. He started his ministry with just 50 kobo and faced numerous challenges along the way. Initially supported by a family friend who offered him a small space, the congregation quickly outgrew it. Through divine intervention, Bishop Idahosa discovered an abandoned building with an inscription that read, “God’s own house.” Despite its history of mysterious deaths, he believed it was the place where God wanted him to start his ministry.

With the permission of the former Chief Justice of Niger State, Bishop Idahosa moved into the building free-of-charge. Living in humble conditions, he preached passionately using a microphone connected to a stereo-cassette. Over time, the congregation grew, and Bishop Idahosa’s ministry expanded, eventually leading him to relocate to Lagos and establish Illumination Assembly in Surulere before settling in Ajah, where the church is now headquartered.

Notable Achievements And Recognition

Bishop Isaac Idahosa’s dedication and contributions to evangelism and Pentecostalism have earned him recognition and accolades. He was decorated by the Lagos State Government as one of the few Mayors of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). Additionally, he received a United Nations Peace Ambassadorial award for his significant impact on humanity and promoting peaceful coexistence through his evangelistic work.

Bishop Idahosa is also known for his philanthropic efforts, providing support and assistance to those in need. He has traveled extensively, spreading the gospel of salvation and inspiring many with his powerful messages. His ministry, Illumination Assembly, has grown to be one of the largest and most influential churches in Nigeria, with a magnificent 10,000-seater church auditorium in Ajah, Lagos.
