Bandits Attacks Police Station, Kill 3 Officers, Kidnap Others In Niger

In a banditry raid on a police station in Niger State on Thursday, three police officers were slain and an undetermined number of others were taken.

The gunmen invaded the Ishau police station in the Paikoro Local Government Area of the state and carried out the attack, according to SaharaReporters.

Zubakpere, Kuna, Aboloso, Kudami, Dakolon Daji, Nugwazi, Amale, Adunu, Ishau, and sections of Beni were among the 11 communities assaulted in the Kafin-koro area.

According to reports, the gunmen seized numerous people in six of the settlements, including a local chief and four of his children, as well as five women.

Wasiu Abiodun, the police spokesperson in Niger State, did not respond to phone calls seeking confirmation at the time of reporting this article.
