The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has said that his opponent and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has settled him after he trained him.
The former governor of Anambra State made the statement during an interactive session which he had with the North East Stakeholders, today.
While addressing the audience, Obi had the cause to speak on Atiku Abubakar who had picked him as a running mate for the 2019 presidential election.
In his speech, Peter Obi said that he has respect for the PDP presidential candidate and that he remains an elder brother to him. In his words, “Atiku remains a very respected senior brother… In my place we respect elders.”
He further stated that if Atiku Abubakar was around he would have gone to greet him, because Atiku is his elder brother. Adding that he is an Igbo man and in Igbo you can train somebody to trade and when the person finishes, you settle them and they do the same trade with you.
In his words, “I’m an Igbo man, we train people to trade, when they finish, we settle them, and they do the same trade with us. Atiku has settled me, and I’m doing the same trade with him. We’re not quarreling.”
