Anambra Election: Check out Photos Of How Gunmen Disrupted Ihiala Election

The supplementary election that was held in Anambra turned out bloody after Gunmen disrupted the Ihiala Local Government area election.

Recall that, the Gubernatorial election was held on Saturday, November 5, but out of the 21 Local Government Areas in the state, Ihiala LGA with over 146,000 votes could not partake in the election due to transportation issues.

The 20 Local Government Areas results were collated, fortunately, Charles Soludo won 18, while Andy Una, Valentine, Ozigbo, and Ifeanyi Una won a Local Government each. The election was declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission, and a supplementary election that will determine the winner was slated to hold today in Ihiala LGA.

The voting process started well, but later the supplementary election turned out bloody after Gunmen disrupted the Ihiala Local Government election.

The Gunmen were suspected to be members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra. The heavy presence of soldiers, police, and other security personnel ensued into a gun duel that lasted for hours, there were sporadic shootings around the polling units, and everyone scampered away for their lives.

Our sources gathered that the unknown gunmen entered Ihiala through Mbosi and Orsumoghu located at the border of Imo State.
