Anambra Election: Buhari Strikes Hard Over IPOB Strong Threat

President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged to uphold the country’s democratic system and do everything in his power to ensure that the governorship election in Anambra is held on November 6.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, on the other hand, were startled by the President’s statement (IPOB).

If its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is not released unconditionally by November 4, the organization has threatened to shut down the entire Southeast for six days.

The federal and state governments in Anambra both downplayed the threat, stating that nothing would prevent the poll from taking place on November 6.
