Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, says he is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) notwithstanding the formation of a Third Force on Tuesday (PDP).
According to BEST NEWS NETWORK, Kwankwaso declared the formation of a Third Force under the banner of The National Movement (TNM) yesterday, easing Nigeria’s political mood ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi of Kaduna State, former Minister of Youths and Sports Development Solomon Dalung, ruling government critic Buba Galadima, and other famous Nigerians are among the members of his team.
They predict that the Third Force would dethrone the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.
The TNM stated that it was well aware of its important role in preventing Nigeria’s breakup.
Asked by Seun Okinbaloye, in an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today if he is still a member of the PDP, Kwankwaso said, “I’m a member of the PDP, and in the group, you have many people from the APC, others from APGA, even other political parties.
“Some people have no party at all. We decided as Nigerians, especially those of us that are worried in terms of security, in terms of education, in terms of the polity, and of course infrastructure, and so on and so forth.”
