Adeleke Congratulates Tinubu on Supreme Court Win

Governor Ademola Adeleke has praised President Bola Tinubu for his election being confirmed by the Supreme Court. He believes it is important for Nigeria to come together now.

The Daily Post reported that the highest court recently rejected the appeals of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and their candidates in the last election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr Peter Obi.The pair disagreed with President Bola Tinubu’s win in the February 25 election and wanted to change the decision made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Supreme Court, though, rejected the appeal and said that new evidence couldn’t be shown during the appeal. In a message of congratulations from his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, in Osogbo, Adeleke said, “Our legal system has once again shown its ability to handle conflicts that arise from our elections.”

Adeleke said that the Supreme Court’s decision on the 2023 presidential election is very important and will help us focus on the problems Nigeria is facing. He praised the main candidate from the opposing party in the election for making the country’s election laws stronger by taking their complaints to court.

On behalf of the people of Osun State, I want to congratulate President Tinubu on his recent legal win at the highest court.”

I hope that your administration will bring progress, unity, and prosperity to our country. I want to emphasize that I am committed to working with you to provide good leadership for our citizens,” he said.
