It is difficult for Yorubas to support Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP’s presidential candidate, according to Isaac Fayose, the brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose.
Igbos, according to Fayose, don’t trust Yorubas, hence it’s difficult to back Obi’s presidential aspirations.
He bemoaned the fact that they still don’t believe him despite his personal donation to Obi’s campaign.
Supporting Peter Obi is extremely distressing for someone who is Yoruba, Fayose remarked in a Facebook post. How can I possibly expect the Igbos to believe in me when they don’t even believe in themselves?
“I donated my hotel, time, money, and occasionally my food bank, as well as my space. They continue to mistreat me daily. Nigerians all around the nation, especially the Southwest, have overwhelmingly backed Obi.
The candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, was recently cited by Fayose as the front-runner.
According to Fayose, Tinubu is ahead in the competition because the Igbos are not cooperating. He said that Obi would be demoted due to the sit-at-home policy in the Southeast and the Biafra movement.
